High Performance School Europe

Commander: a solid base for training

After careful analysis of high performance aircraft available worldwide the school has chosen the Commander 114B/115. The Commander - originally the Rockwell Commander - is a low wing, fully retractable, 150 kt cruise single, with variable pitch propeller.

The aircraft is fitted with a Lycoming 540 260hp normally aspirated engine. The TC version has the same engine but with a single turbocharger, giving 270hp. The new Super Commander has a normally aspirated Lycoming 580 engine producing 320hp.

Another remarkable feature is the undercarriage which is probably the most robust of all single engine aircraft on the market today. It is exceptional on grass surfaces and, even better, it has no crosswind limitation.
